Nomads reserves continued their fine run in the Cheshire league with a 7-1 demolition of bottom of the table Moore United. Nomads went into the game unbeaten in the last 5 and made it 3 wins from 3 with a comfortable victory.
Nomads were 3-0 up after the first half hour but a penalty for Moore allowed them a lifeline at half time. This encouraged the visitors and they started the second half well with Nomads seemingly taking their foot off the gas slightly.
A fourth for Nomads however set them back on their way and it was to be more of the same as the goals continued to come with George Howarth taking all the plaudits with a hat trick taking him to double figures for the season so far
Callum Davies gave us his thoughts:
“The winning run continues as nomads reserves look to keep putting points on the board! A really dominant display in the first half sees nomads go in 3-1 at HT.
Second half starts slow for nomads allowing Moore Utd to come back into the game however not scoring in that 20 minute spell was to prove costly as nomads once they get the 4th start to really push on again!
– George Howarth x3
– Sam Deering
– Harry Shipton
– Sam Kewley
– Own Goal
MOTM – George Howarth now already in double figures for the season!
Best of luck to Simon and Moore Utd for the season. We look forward to next weeks trip to Whalley Range.”
