NOMADS 2 DENTON TOWN 0
Nomads Reserves made it four straight wins and jumped up to 4th place in the table after another impressive team performance in a 2-0 victory over local rivals Denton Town.
A solid mature display from the young Nomads side was very pleasing to watch. Nomads dominated possession but fair play to Denton Town who held their shape and neither side really threatened the scoreline.
Despite controlling the game the home side did very little to break down the Denton Town block and a higher tempo was needed.
In the Second half that is exactly what happened, a double substitution saw Stevenson and Tinsley replacing the injured Adams and the unlucky Riley.
Rotations and movements around and away from the ball were better allowing Nomads to create more chances and break down Dentons stubborn defence.
Goals from Daniel Stevenson and Emmanuel Ujahchuku thanks to a great Sam Lynch Assist sealed the victory.
The side now look forward to next weeks cup tie against Windle Labour as they push for a strong finish to the season.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Reece Skelton – a brilliant, energentic performance against his former club.
